Barred Rock

Back when we first got chickens, one of them was a little Barred Rock hen that my daughter named Oreo. Working on this piece made me think about that hen that my daughter enjoyed taking care of and carrying around.

This piece is done in pastel pencils on a basswood slice. It measures approximately 6x7” and is about 5/8” thick.

Its been sprayed with a fixative, but please still handle with care. Avoid touching the pastel and keep away from water. Should you need to dust the piece off, I highly recommend using a can of compressed air. This piece will be mailed in an insured flat rate box via USPS.
